Evans Head sits on the Evans River just south of Ballina, making it one of the closest communities to our workshop. We are in Evans Head regularly for measure and quotes and installations and can often schedule visits here more quickly than in more distant parts of the Northern Rivers.
Evans Head is a quiet coastal town with a strong sense of community and a loyal local population. It has a mix of older fibro and weatherboard homes — many of which have windows and doors that are long overdue for replacement — and a growing number of new builds taking advantage of the river and ocean proximity. Woodburn and Broadwater are our primary service areas beyond Evans Head itself, both accessible along the Richmond River corridor. We also service Iron Gates, New Italy and the surrounding rural properties on a project-by-project basis.

The original Evans Head housing stock is predominantly fibro and weatherboard from the post-war era. These homes were built simply and practically and many of them have been well maintained, but the windows and doors in them are typically original and at or past the end of their useful life. Salt air exposure over decades has taken its toll on frames, hardware and seals. Replacement with properly specified aluminium is a significant and lasting improvement.
More recently Evans Head has attracted buyers who are building new homes, particularly on the river-front lots and the blocks with views toward the ocean. These builds are generally more contemporary in character and have more ambitious glazing requirements. We have worked on a number of these projects and are comfortable with the architectural complexity they can involve.
Woodburn, about 15 minutes north of Evans Head on the Richmond River, has its own housing stock — mainly rural residential and town homes in an older country town. We work in Woodburn regularly and are familiar with the building types there. Broadwater is a smaller community between Evans Head and Ballina that we also service.
