At North Ballina Windows, everything is custom. We work from your exact measurements and specifications — matching the proportions of an existing heritage window, supplying oversized bi-fold doors for a contemporary living room, or fitting frameless glass balustrades on a rooftop deck with ocean views. Byron Bay's housing stock spans almost a century of construction and every style you can imagine.
The original beach homes in Byron Bay — many of them fibro or weatherboard from the fifties and sixties — are being snapped up, renovated and transformed. Window replacement is almost always on the list. These homes often have narrow openings and low eaves, and getting the proportions right matters as much as getting the specification right.
At the other end of the market, Byron Bay now has some genuinely remarkable new residential architecture. Large floor-to-ceiling glazed panels, frameless glass balustrades on multiple levels, custom bi-fold wall systems that completely open a living room to the outdoors. The technical demands of these projects are significant and we are experienced delivering them.
In between there is everything else — the renovated bungalows in Bangalow Road, the townhouses near the town centre, the holiday investment properties in Suffolk Park. Each one has its own requirements and we approach each one accordingly.
Suffolk Park, just south of Byron Bay, is a quieter residential area with a mix of older homes and newer builds. We work throughout Suffolk Park and down to Broken Head, where properties tend to be larger and more rural in character.
The rural residential areas north and west of Byron Bay attract buyers who want space and privacy without leaving the shire. Properties here often have larger openings, rural outlooks and a preference for products that require minimal ongoing maintenance.
The area between Byron Bay proper and the hinterland villages has seen significant growth in recent years. Contemporary homes on acreage blocks with large glazed openings and strong indoor-outdoor connections are the most common project type we see here.
